<p>The input device support of MP 2.2 is rudimentary. Many key/function mappings are hard-coded and only the MCE remote is fully supported.</p>

<p>The input device management should be extended/modified in such way that it handles HID inputs in the first place and then maps these input values to the respective MP2 functions.</p>
