<p>The VideoMDE currently only reads metadata for the RecordingDate attribute from MKV and MP4 tags. In particular for HomeVideos it would be nice to have the LastModifiedDate of the file as a fallback.</p>

<p>(Long term the file CreationDate would be better, but our IFileSystemResourceAccessor interface only exposes the LastModified date, not the CreationDate).</p>
