config tool > remote > hauppauge > mappings expand 45 button > expand green > select green and click new > expand no condition > select action_invalid > select a function from the drop down (ie action_mouse_click) > click apply > file called Hauppauge HCW.xml is created in \InputDeviceMappings this file is corrupt and stores no mappings
