Description
Windvd simply decodes the dvd stream but does nothing with the AR. This causes it to output in 16x9.
PowerDVD on the other hand listens to the settings we have in setup.
h4. Additional Information
After some discussing with frodo we cam e to the conclusion we need to make the dvd setup better by asking the user what kind hardware he has and apply the correct settings then.
Think about, 16x9, 4x3, plasma (needs extra zoom for full screen) Digital output yes no.
We will choose the dvd player software for the user.
correct modes when using powerdvd:
16x9 = AR correcting > stretch, display mode > default
4/3 letterbox = AR correction > letterbox, displaymode > default.
These r the values you can currently set in dvd setup.
When using windvd (intervideo) it needs to be:
16x9 > nothing special, this allready works.
4/3 letterbox > new AR mode frodo needs to make, this will be an adjustment to the height of height/3 I think.
For digital output enabling look here:

this is trivial as we limit correct usage for 4/3 now to powerdvd.
