Description

In performing some tests for virtual folder deletion and scrolling in "Recorded Radio", I copied some radio recordings from "Videos" to the folder where recordings are stored. I then started "TV Server Config" to import those recordings into the database. Most imported OK, but some would not. "TV Server Config" claimed that the channel was unknown. How that happened is a puzzle, but that is not the subject of this problem report.

I then selected a radio recording with an unknown channel, and clicked the "Change channel" button. "TV Server Config" displayed a list of known channels, but they were all TV channels. I could not select a radio channel.

Out of curiosity, I selected a TV channel and the database import proceeded successfully. However, I was then surprised to find that the radio recording was displayed in MP's "Recorded TV" panel. I had expected MP to distinguish radio recordings from TV recordings by the presence or absence of a video stream, but I guess that instead it uses some sort of channel id stored in the TS file.

I don't think that being unable to select a radio channel on database import is a common problem, so this is low priority. But I have opened this problem report firstly to log the problem, and secondly to acquaint the TVE 3.5 Development team with this problem, to avoid it being propagated into TVE 3.5.
