Description
<p>There is an option to autostart MediaPortal with windows in mp configuration.</p><p>According to scythe this option starts MP before directX is ready.</p><p>This causes MP to intermittently hang on the startup whenever directX is not ready.</p><p>The workaround for users is to disable autostart with windows, and use windows task scheduler to start MediaPortal. Note the delay startup options in settings does not fix this problem because the delay happens already after MP has begun to load.</p><p>Forum threads:<br /><a data-cke-saved-href="http://forum.team-mediaportal.com/threads/mp-1-40-initializing-direct-3d-hang.120908/#post-1019188" href="http://forum.team-mediaportal.com/threads/mp-1-40-initializing-direct-3d-hang.120908/#post-1019188">http://forum.team-mediaportal.com/threads/mp-1-40-initializing-direct-3d-hang.120908/#post-1019188</a><br /><a data-cke-saved-href="http://forum.team-mediaportal.com/threads/direct3d-could-not-be-created-after-resume.119910/#post-1005337" href="http://forum.team-mediaportal.com/threads/direct3d-could-not-be-created-after-resume.119910/#post-1005337">http://forum.team-mediaportal.com/threads/direct3d-could-not-be-created-after-resume.119910/#post-1005337</a></p>
