TsWriter rewrites the program clock reference timestamps in timeshift and recording files to ensure the continuity and reliability of the timestamps for TsReader.

When the PMT indicates that PCR is provided in a dedicated stream, TsWriter inserts timestamps into the main video stream. This is done without checking that there are no existing timestamps in the video stream.

This can cause a problem when PCR timestamps that do not have the same time base as the timestamps from the dedicated PCR stream are already present in the video stream.

TsReader will find conflicting timestamps in the resulting stream. This results in a loss of ability to skip, fast-forward or rewind.
