    Description

this is a "interesting" issue. if you tune a channel inside manual control and connect to this RTSP stream with i.e. VLC, then the "RTSP client session times out" after 45 seconds.

      *uptdate*
it was reported that the issue seems only to occur with "VLC 0.8.6i".
if you use VLC 0.8.6e then it works nicely.
      maybe a VLC bug?

      h4. Steps to Reproduce
      1. TV-Server Configuration
      2. manual control -> select any channel > "timeshift"
      3. use VLC to connect to the RTSP stream
      4. after 45 seconds the image in VLC will freeze
      5. close VLC
      6. connect to the same stream again
      7. VLC starts to play the stream from the beginning
      8. after 45 seconds the image in VLC will freezes again
      9. look into TV-Server Configuration -> manual control, channel is still "timeshifted"
      10. look into streaming server.log ther you will find:
20-07-2008 11:17:37 RTSP client session from 192.168.123.81 has timed out (due to inactivity) (0) (4af7ae0)

If you use a MediaPortal 1.0 RC2 + Client Plugin (=Multiseat installation) then this issue DOES NOT OCCUR!

is it possible that this is a side effect of the "timeout feature" introduced by gibman?
