In setup there is an option to prevent duplicate recordings based on episode details. The logic in determining whether an episode has already been recorded is flawed as it only looks at the date element of any existing recording.

h4. Steps to Reproduce
You need an EPG with episode date and TV side setup to prevent duplicate recordings
Find a recording which has episode info and is repeated later in the day (eg. timeshift channel) and that EPG entry also has episode info.
What should happen is that the episode on the timeshifted channel is not recorded however because both start on the same day TV service thinks the first is a failed recording
