Currently for a clean install MP will try and connect with the default gentle.config settings (localhost/MediaPortal) and only show the window if the connection does not succeed. But if you do a clean MP install with an old database still existing (with default schema name and password) then the connection will succeed and the window will not be shown. Then you get into the situation where the clients cannot connect because MP has placed "localhost" in the gentle.config file which is copied to the clients.

MP should ask for the DB connection details in the case of a clean install.

Installation of clean MP to use an existing DB.
It lead to replace servername to 'localhost' and then client can't connect to server.
