If you start MP, then hit the EPG button to go directly to the EPG, then move the mouse pointer to the top of the screen, the topbar does not appear.

If you go from home -> my TV -> EPG, it does show.

A secondary problem is that even when the topbar is 'available' you cannot get to it in the EPG screen by using the remote - just the mouse.
